Byrd Residence

This project explores the concept of 'layered living,' where internal spaces are constantly in dialogue with the outdoors. The design creates a transparent axis from the ground floor kitchen, through the dining area, to the pool, ensuring that the social heart of the home is always visually connected to the landscape. The upper level is designed as a flexible retreat. A dedicated upper living and study zone opens directly onto the grand balcony, a substantial cantilevered structure that defines the building's identity. This outdoor room offers a secondary living zone for the private quarters, while the Master Bedroom maintains its own visual link to the pool, creating a sense of calm and continuity throughout the home.
